By Football Italian staffSports Illustrated has published a story that reveals why Juventus striker Simone Inzaghi has already signed a contract with Milan.
It was confirmed by a report from Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (in Italian) that the Italian champions had received the agreement from the Serie A club.
According to the report, Milan have agreed to pay a €3.5m fee for the 27-year-old.
This is a very high fee for a player who, in the last few years, has become a key cog in the Juventus’ midfield.
Inzaghhi is also said to have offered Milan a new deal at the end of the season, which the Nerazzurri club are still trying to negotiate.
The deal, which reportedly will be announced by Milan on Monday, is expected to be confirmed before the start of the new Serie A campaign on March 12.
The Bianconeri have already paid €9.8m for the Italian international, who signed for the club in 2016 for €12m.
In the summer, the Rossoneri confirmed that they had signed a player of Inzaghim’s stature in the form of Roberto Donadoni.
