The search engine is an alternative to Google’s Search, but it’s not available in the United States.
This week, Google’s parent company, Alphabet, announced that Neeva will launch in the U.S. by the end of 2021.
The news comes in the midst of the fourth quarter of 2018, which saw Google’s revenue double and the company grow its revenue to $3.3 billion.
This week, Neeva’s founders also said that Neevas search engine will be available in more than 100 countries, which they estimate will mean Neeva has over 30 million users around the world.
However, while Neeva does have a ton of content, it’s still a niche search engine that has yet to reach mainstream usage.
Neeva CEO Matt Hickey told the Wall Street Journal in an interview last week that the company was focused on building out a new business model, but he would not comment on its launch timetable.
Hickey added that Neova will likely offer users “a more intuitive interface,” and would be open to a broader range of search queries.
While Google has yet a specific timetable, Neevos search engine does offer users a list of curated articles, along with recommendations.
Users can also filter by keyword, genre, and content, as well as see a curated summary of each article.
Neova, however, offers users no control over the curated content they see.
Google Search has long been a huge success for Google, with searches for “trees” and “forest” in the past two decades having topped the billion-plus mark.
The company has continued to grow, and now boasts over 250 million users worldwide.
But Neeva hasn’t seen the same success as Google.
It hasn’t launched in the US yet, but a Neeva spokesperson told CNBC in an email that Neva is planning to launch in several countries in the future.
The spokesperson said Neevo will launch at least in Europe, where the company will focus on expanding its search engine to more countries.
According to the Wall, Neova has already received over $200 million in venture funding, including funding from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital, Accel Partners, and others.
The startup plans to open up its search to a wider variety of people, and is working to expand its user base to include “anyone in the world,” the spokesperson added.
“Our primary goal is to reach the entire world,” Hickey said in the interview with CNBC.
“We think there is a need for an alternative for people who search in a different language or with different search queries.”
The Neeva founders said that while they have been looking for a way to reach more people, they haven’t come up with a viable solution yet.
“People don’t have a compelling reason for wanting to use Neeva,” Higgs said.
“There are so many other things that we are doing.
We’re going to try to make Neeva more relevant, and more appealing, and hopefully more relevant to people.”
