The search engine search engine was officially launched by the State Government on Monday.
It was launched as part of the State Tourism Promotion Strategy for the State.
A spokesperson for Tourism Minister Gita Mittal told The Indian Express that this was a first step in the search engine’s journey.
“As a first stage, we are giving search engines an opportunity to work with the State government to develop new technology, such as the technology for live streaming video,” he said.
“As the technology evolves, we will give them more and more resources,” Mittal added.
She said the State would be launching a similar project in the next three months.
“The State Tourism Board (STB) will look into the technology in partnership with search engines and social media platforms to build a better search experience for the public,” she said.
In the next phase, the State has plans to set up an app to provide a digital portal for users to find out more about the state, including a list of all state holidays and other information, she added.
The State is not the first State to launch its own search engine.
The Delhi government launched its own version of the search site last year, though it was launched with a budget of Rs 8,000 crore.
It has since received a lot of feedback on its website.
